I’m Samuel, the filmmaker behind Riverboat Films. I’m based in Dubai and make documentary wedding films across the UAE and wherever the story takes me.
I’ve always been drawn to the things that make people themselves: how they met, what makes them laugh, the traditions that matter to them, the people they want close. Knowing those details helps me understand what to look for when the wedding day arrives.
When I film, I’m not trying to turn the day into a production. I want you to be in it. I stay observant, keep things natural and pay attention to what is happening around you, including the moments you might not see yourself.
Outside of weddings, I’m a metalhead and guitarist, usually looking for new music before anyone else has heard of it. I’m equally happy finding a new restaurant to try or a new riff to learn.
